FRICTION DRIVE SPV ~ C21 TOYS 1967

Instruction sheet states in bold capital letters
TAKE EXTRA SPECIAL CARE OF THIS MODEL.
This is definitely a hint that the toy is delicate! And it is.

Ejection

The ejector seat's door will not close if the seat is not pushed down to the correct position. One can assume that it is, but if the door will not close freely, and it is forced to close, something will break! If the seat has not locked down fully, the ejector button has to be pressed to release the seat, then try again. Repeat until successful.
Tip: push the seat down with one finger and then place the figure onto the chair.

Instruction sheet depicts that this vehicle has a spring suspension.

The suspension is in the form of a piece of plastic welded inside the base, at the front end only. In 1967 it might have served it's purpose. In 2008, the aging process and utility shelf life of such a concept ensures that it would be highly unlikely that any examples today would serve it's purpose! In other words, the ones on sale here no longer have a 'suspension''.
