90& of these records were owned by Philip Martell (1906 ~ 1993), musical director / supervisor for over 140 feature films such as for Norman Wisdom, 'The Runaway Bus' (a dire film with Frankie Howerd and Petula Clark), On The Buses, many of the Hammer Films output (including their 1980's television series), etc. Philip eventually retired in the Westcountry. When he passed away, effects were sold off at Eric Distin's auction. A friend purchased his classical records, and I the library music albums. Within this collection were several rare records from the 1960's. These will be featured here sometime later. Meanwhile, to give you a 'inkling', here is an interesting letter dated July 1969 from Miss Pat Lee, then exploitation manager at Ember Records, that is included with one of these gems.

Please note that due to the content and nature of intention of Library albums, all the records on offer on this page are not returnable, and are being sold as sleeve and vinyl grade being Very Good. Thus, there is no excuse to return any purchases (not that any have to date!). If unsure exactly what discs are required, you may arrange for a pre-listening session at the next Exeter Record Fair. A few, not many, do have just one or two of Philip's annotations on the reverse of the jacket.
