EDWIN HALL & Co. DALEK FOR SALE


This is an original 1960s Dalek manufactured by Edwin Hail & Co.

This particular model probably has it's dialek in Japanese...
but no hairy knees...

  

All sides depicted. None of the photographs have been enhanced, sharpened, etc.

The Dalek was restored sometime ago, thus, as expected, is not the original paintwork.

The skirt is fragile, being made of fibre glass (as is the body), so quite surprising that it is still intact. The underskirt has castor wheels only. There is no mechanism. As some of these models were affixed onto carousels, not all included this feature.

There are currently no electrical functions on this Dalek.


 There is scope for internal additions.
  
 New material covers the original seat.




Unsure if the slats have been replaced?
 
 The sucker has most probably been replaced?



The body is not padded out with filler!

The dome head is removable
  New lights in-keeping with originals on the dome, and
 one added to the eye. The original vent is seen here.

All in all, in very good condition

It is not often I find a site that is recommended to peruse. However, Fairground Heritage Trust  
  is an interest into fairground rides, as well as appreciating the work involved.
