This project is dedicated to the late Francis Coudrill, and his creation 'Hank The Cowboy'.

This project was going to set out on 3 pages.. oops!.. no such luck!  Most images depicted on the subsequent
20 pages you will not have seen anywhere else on the World Wide Web, or probably anywhere else.

Please note that any comics, etc, that are in stock for sale, are listed elsewhere on this site.
Please refer to the site Contents or Index page.

This weekly comic commenced in November 1951, and survived until 1984, although it did have to endure several of that habitual British comic tradition along the way ~ mergers!  Publishing began with the News of the World Ltd, then Beaverbrook Publications Ltd, ending with Polystyle Publications Ltd.

As well as featuring cartoon characters such as Popeye, the Pink Panther, Foo Foo, and other assortments, popular television programmes that were in vogue were the main attraction: Hank, Muffin The Mule, Mr. Turnip, Sooty, Mr. Pastry, Roy Rogers, Four Feather Falls, Supercar, Fireball XL5, Telegoons, The Avengers, Dr Who (later issues were reprints), Adam Adamant, Dad's Army, etc.; these too all being in cartoon strip form within this comic.

In retrospective, most individual issues of TV COMIC were not good value, due to lack of pages. However, being a television comic had it's appeal. In fact, yours truly was a loyal reader up until the launch of TV Century 21 !
