                                                                                   RECORD MIRROR

 On offer here are all the Record Mirror issues from March 1963 to June 1969 that had the     Rolling Stones / solo on the front covers. These originate from a 1960's record shop that kept them as file. Up to June '68 issue here, each have the shop's name written or stamped over "Record Mirror".  Also, these are stapled (as from the publisher) up to the end of 1965, with the staples here having gone rusty, in particular the earlier issues. This has corroded the paper around the stapled area.  Unless otherwise stated, none have ever been folded, and have clean sharp edges, and apart from the brown areas from the staples, are of 'fresh appearance'!   24 issues for £350  stones_recordmirrorcollecti.jpg (48356 bytes)

The first issue in this collection from April 1964 has only a small photo of Mick and Brian, but does review their 1st LP. No 269 is a Walker Brothers front cover, with a small b&w photo on bottom of Mick, but does have the Stones inside 13/4 pages. No 382 main front picture is Ton-up Dave Dee on a Triumph motorbike, with a smaller photo of Brian and Marianne Faithfull at the top. Issue 257 is dominated by Stones features, including all of the front and back of the cover.. All have been individually wrapped in clear cellophane, and have a white board. 
      If these are not sol as a 'collection' by June 2005, they will be added to the Music Papers page, whereupon offered individually.

Interestingly,  in  #30, the final issue, a "NEVER-TO-BE-REPEATED OFFER" to

lower print run than their counterparts. #30 is the scarcest, especially in NM!

Rolling Stones Photograph

7" x 5" b&w photograph taken at the Martini Center, Brussels, Belgium, in November 1964. This was the first Rolling Stones venue in Belgium. Taken by the then official photographer of this venue, it is believed that to date has been unpublished, thus is sold with this guarantee. Back is hand written; 18/ 10/ 64  The Rolling Stones - Decca' . No negative available.
