Buying

It would take a whole web site to set out specific titles of each and every record, magazine, comic, toy, etc, that is required, so below is a basic guide that outlines merchandise purchased.
Depending on the true condition^⁺, resale value, and desirability within the current collector's market for said item, normally a ratio of 30% to 60% cash price will be offered. If part-exchange is of interest to yourself against something listed for sale on this site, then it is usually +20% on top of the cash offer, although there are restrictions on this offer.

For example, if you have say thirty 1960's singles that have an average nominal resale value of £6 to £8 each, and you wish to trade for one or two of the more collectible records that are priced at least £25 each, then the +20% would not be offered. The same applies if you are wanting to trade some 1970's LP's for a 1960's toy. Unless the items traded in are an attractive price to myself, then I would have to decline. In other words, in most cases on a part-exchange basis, it is like-for-like.
In summary, "general" quantity stock will have the lowest buy-in value, whereas a rare^⁺⁺ and very desirable item on offer can attain anything up to 80% of the resale price!

If you have an accumulation of mint boxed toys, original concert posters, rare records in top condition, etc, and are not in desperate need of the money, or the time factor is of little importance, it is possible that your collection can be sold on your behalf on a commission basis, thus, in most cases, achieving the best possible price. + = to save on expense and wasted time, please give a true appraisal of merchandise.
A vinyl record needs to have a visual grade, and it's sound portrayal.
++ = supposedly "rare" items, but do not sell at the suggested going rate, are not of interest!
