LP records were first issued in the UK in 1950. The very early albums had had plain card covers,  with the artiste / title stated on the front. On a few occasions the record company would exceed themselves and include a drawing of the recording star. By 1954 the record companies had woken up, and realised photographic covers help sell their records. Hence, some of the albums that were issued prior to 1954 were given a new lease of life by 'reviving' the cover.

Extra info: Capitol did not issue any 10"  albums in the 50's with the 'rainbow' label.

All have been professionally cleaned, and subsequently played on a decent
hi-fi system with the treble full on. Therefore, if playing on a vintage record
player, the sound should be better than the reports stated here.

Unless otherwise specified, they are UK pressings.

If you wish to view an album front cover more closely, please request via email.
Note that all are on file, and are stored at 300 pixels / 4"/ 10.5cm square.
